Sally McDaniel has been an active member of the High for the last forty-five years, serving on the board of directors with leadership positions on the nominating, administration and board support, and executive committees. Sally and her husband Allen are not only Charter Members of the Director’s Circle but have also been generous donors to major capital campaigns, gifted art to the Museum, and supported several exhibitions and events.

As chair of the development committee, Sally will work with Allison Chance, development director, and the development team to strengthen and grow the Museum’s philanthropic support. She shared, “The members of this committee are energized and committed to supporting the work of Allison and her staff in the Development Office. I look forward to a banner year for the High Museum.”

As an active leader in the Atlanta community, Sally has served on many boards, including AID Atlanta, the YWCA of Greater Atlanta, Prevent Blindness Georgia, the Metropolitan Atlanta chapter of the American Red Cross, Junior League of Atlanta, and Leadership Atlanta, to name a few. Of her service, she said, “My opportunities for leadership allow me to give back and to hopefully make a difference in our community.”

Sally and Allen share an interest in American Impressionist art, which they collect. They have two children, Jamie McDaniel and Fontaine McDaniel Lee, and four wonderful grandsons.
