With Valentine’s Day around the corner, love is in the air—and it hits our galleries next month as we open What Is Left Unspoken, Love, a new contemporary art exhibition on view in the Cousins Family galleries. Curator Michael Rooks has assembled nearly seventy works, ranging from sculpture and paintings to video and large-scale installations, that explore how artists have examined and expressed one of the most important aspects of life—love. I hope you’ll join us in March for the exhibition opening and continue visiting throughout the spring to experience more wonderful art with friends and family.
If you haven’t already, there’s still a chance to see The Obama Portraits Tour, which will be on view until March 20. On February 18, we’ll open an exhibition of rare postcard prints by early-twentieth-century photographer André Kertész. In April, we’ll present our next exhibition celebrating children’s picture book art, featuring the humorous and poignant work of award-winning artist and author Oliver Jeffers.
Also, the Wine Auction makes its long-awaited return to the Tents at Atlantic Station in March, after two years of virtual celebrations. We hope to see you there!
